I am happy to have this platform to share my writings from, Words Inspired Imagined and Revealed. This was my first chapbook effort.
My Professional Bio
Manon is a graduate of St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, Ontario where she studied Nursing. Further to her clinical experience in mental health and rehabilitation at the Grey Nuns and General Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Manon has demonstrated a history of high level community involvement. She has earned distinction as Chamber of Commerce Business of the year, a seat on council when she resided in Elk Point, Albert and recognition from the Ministry of State of ACT Now BC.
Manon has continued her education in preventative medicine and health promotion at Athabasca University and is currently the Prevention Education Leader for BC Cancer Agency Prevention Programs in northeast BC. She has been a guest speaker at more than sixty events and has also facilitated a number of workshops and support groups. Her efforts include involvement in national research studies and she fully appreciates the relationship between our physical health and our mental well being.
Manon currently resides in Fort St John with her family, where she owns and operates BLESS, Better Living Elder Support Services. Now in its fifth year of operation, BLESS serves its community in health and wellness consulting as well as industry safety training.
Her abilities include:
•Established community development skills utilized to maintain and build community partnerships through outreach.
•Knowledge of issues related to chronic disease prevention, the population health approach, with an understanding of the health care environment and trends.
•Established presentation, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
•Ability to motivate change, provide guidance and support to others.
